Illinois Gaming Board gives initial approvals for temporary casino at Medinah Temple

On thursday, state gambling regulators gave its first initial  approval for chicago casino

The voting is attempted to solve this long waited issue

The voting comes in favor of licenses for Medinah temple and serve as temporary hall for gambling

This project is earned by developer bally and he hopes it will open for public by June.

By 2026, a permanent casino owned by Bally's is expected to open on the site of the Chicago Tribune's Freedom Center printing facility west of the Chicago River.

Medinah temple is located on Ontario street in Chicago

The board voted 3-0 to approve supplier licenses

Although Bally wasn't initially in favour of it, there has been some debate over the choice to locate the temporary casino at the River North landmark.
